How-To: Solve the error message "Missing or corrupted resource files" when launching Main Console

16-Channel NVR Software

When starting the 16-channel NVR software, you may be greeted by the message below:


  1. The screen resolution of your computer is set to a non-supported wide-screen value, e.g. 1280 x 720.
    You should try and set the sceen resolution to 1024 x768 or 1280 x 800 and then start the software again. This may resolve the problem.

  2. The installation is damaged.
    By default the software installs into C:\Program Files\Digital\IPSurveillance.
    First, uninstall the software from your system, and then manually delete the installation folder. Reboot your computer, then re-install the latest version of the software.

  3. Custom installation vs. complete installation
    You select a custom installation and did not install all components, e.g., the video playback. Run the setup again and select complete installation.
